Dr. Pretila is an enthusiastic proponent of Preventive and Integrative Medicine. She believes in treating the individual as a whole person, dealing not only with the physical but also the spiritual, environmental and psychosocial issues. As a Christian doctor, she is a fervent believer in the power of prayer and faith for health and healing.

Dr. Pretila received her medical doctor degree from Cebu City, Philippines. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Veterans Hospital and her fellowship in Gastroenterology at Case Western Reserve University, both in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Pretila had a solo practice in Internal Medicine in Scottsburg, Indiana for several years and observed that patients did significantly better when diet, exercise and nutritional supplementations were incorporated to their therapy. These observations sparked further interest in Integrative Medicine and to attend conferences and seminars with organizations that bring like-minded scholars and experts in Integrative Medicine as the American College for Advancement in Medicine and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
Dr.Pretila realizes the strong connection between physical, spiritual and emotional health and encourages health partnerships with patients to get to the root issues of imbalance and disease. As a Christian doctor, she believes that the human body is wonderfully fashioned by God to heal by itself, if obstacles are removed and supportive treatments are given.
Dr. Pretila’s approach is integrating the best of conventional medicine and the strategic therapies of alternative medicine.
