Lynn Harrelson provides highly specialized consulting services which have been provided to patients in all levels of nursing and assisted living facilities, retirement centers, as well as to those who reside independently in their home since her graduation from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. She received the national 2012 Excellence in Innovation award as recognition for her pioneering eHOP concept, enhanced Healthcare Outcomes Program. The Ohio Valley Appalachia Regional Geriatric Education Center also has recognized her comprehensive medication management services as a best practice model. Throughout her career, Ms. Harrelson has held various positions where she developed and implemented innovative patient-centered programs. Practicing as a geriatric integrative clinical pharmacist in various practice settings, her services have supported improved health and conserved resources by avoiding medication related problems and their associated costs. The focus of her practice has been senior patients and other others using multiple medications.

During her college career, Lynn was a student leader and served as regional delegate in the APHA House of Delegates. She was recognized both as the College of Pharmacy’s outstanding senior woman and as the University of Kentucky’s Outstanding Senior Woman. After graduation, she continued as a leader in her profession at local, state and national levels. Ms. Harrelson was elected Jefferson County Academy of Pharmacy’s first woman President, was active in the various offices of KPHA, and served as its President in 1991. She received the national Bowl of Hygeia community service recognition in 1990 and Wyeth’s National True Caring award in 2006 for service to the Katrina Evacuees. She is one of only two pharmacists in her state to be dually recognized. Lynn has received both national and international recognition for her professional, community and volunteer activities. Lynn continues to serve the needs of the greater Louisville area through several board appointments and committee participation.

She has served the boards of Louisville's All Care Community Center, the Kentucky Renaissance Pharmacy Museum and the University of Kentucky Alumni Association. Her community service efforts have been recognized both nationally and internationally. She is a member of the Greater Louisville Aging in Place Alliance (, Health and Services Professional Network (HSPN), TRIAD and Kentucky Safe Aging Coalition. She collaborates with many other providers and organizations providing innovative care to seniors. She is active in the greater Louisville area in her co-sponsorship of the biannual Expired Drug Toss.

As a Senior Care Pharmacist, Ms. Harrelson has penned articles for the Senior Care Experts ( quarterly newspaper, Aging Well in addition to periodic articles in various newsletters throughout the metro area. She has served as expert on several national websites, Aging Care, The Community for Caregivers ( and Elder Care Matters Alliance ( where she addresses questions and concerns regarding medication use and other pharmacy questions from site visitors. Ms. Harrelson also sends out her personal eNewsletter, the Stay Well Tablet that addresses a myriad of safe medication use.
