Dr. Hopson has a strong commitment to both evidence-based holistic practice and a collaborative approach to healing and wellness. He believes the true path to health is achieved through promoting wellness, preventing disease and alleviating stress involving the body, mind and spirit.

Dr. Hopson is committed to working with each patient to achieve their own unique set of goals – from eliminating pain to promoting healthy aging. After consulting with other members of the MultiCare Centre team, each patient will receive a comprehensive therapeutic program to meet their goals. This may include chiropractic, nutritional and dietary recommendations, exercise advice and conventional medicine, as well as any appropriate complementary approaches, such as acupuncture, psychotherapy, herbs and supplements, massage, and yoga.

With each patient follow-up, Dr. Hopson pays careful attention to the original goals established by the patient, altering the therapeutic plan as needed and taking advantage of each patient visit to gain greater insight into the patient and their preferences for improved health.

Biography
Dr. Edwin S. Hopson is a Louisville native and an alumnus of Ballard High School. While playing for the Ballard Varsity Basketball team, he injured his back, resulting in months of chronic low back pain with sciatica down to his feet. Through a helpful referral to a local chiropractor, Dr. Hopson almost immediately returned to his pre-injury physical level and playing competitive basketball. The non-invasive, hands-on care Dr. Hopson received inspired him to pursue a career in the chiropractic field. He completed his education at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles, California where he obtained a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Hopson was a leader in his graduating class demonstrating unique and innovative techniques to rehabilitate the injured spine and extremities. He then became certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the Colorado-based National Strength and Conditioning Association. Prior to becoming a Chiropractor, Dr. Hopson graduated from Columbia University in New York City where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal arts, with concentrations in psychology and visual art.

Previous Experience
Through the recommendation of the head clinician at Cleveland Chiropractic College, Dr. Hopson was referred to an elite gym in Brentwood, California where he began as their lead trainer. Here, he utilized his background in chiropractic and strength training to help his clients meet their desired individual goals. He also helped clients to rehabilitate musculoskeletal complaints that kept them in pain and prevented them from achieving their health and fitness goals. Dr. Hopson also provided treatment to private clients referred from The Morris Spine and Sports Medicine Center in Santa Monica, California as well as from the original Gold's Gym in Venice, California.

Professional Affiliations
Dr. Hopson is licensed in Kentucky and is a member of the Colorado-based National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American Chiropractic the American Council of Sports Medicine. He continues to further his education by completing various postgraduate workshops and seminars through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and continually utilizing his skills at the collegiate and professional levels
